Flashback Friday Part 4

Good morning and welcome back for the fourth installment of my blog posts Flashback Friday! I really appreciate everyone who has supported the posts and am pleased a few have even found something to add to their to be read pile.

Today I wanted to tell you about three vampire genre books from my backlist.

To start is my favorite and the first MFM book that I ever wrote.

Magical Menage was a part of the Anthology Caught in the Middle (both in EBook format and print.) However the book was also released in its own EBook format and in audio. It is to this date still my only audio book.

As I said before it was one of my favorites to write. Not only in the vampire genre but out of anything I’ve ever written. I’ve looked backs several times and wished I’d saved the characters for their very own series. I think the world that I created could ave been told in several settings but that in no way takes away from Magical Menage. I just loved these characters so much!

Magical Menage Book Blurb:

Non-practising witch Madison Montgomery can't decide between the vampire and werewolf...is it possible to have them both?

Madison Montgomery craves and wants two very different men. Instead of choosing one, she avoids both.

Tired of waiting for her to make up her mind, Master Vampire Dante and the local wolf pack's Alpha Tom come up with an agreement of their own. If she won't choose one of them, she'll have both.

The pleasure she's given is more than she ever thought possible. One night will never be enough. If she thought it was hard to pick one of them as a lover, once she has them both, it is next to impossible to imagine being without both of them.

When Madison gets a visit from the past, Dante and Tom have to work together to keep her safe. Once that is accomplished, they just have to talk her into permanently accepting a threesome.

Magical Menage Excerpt:

For the residents of Grand Falls, Colorado, their town was a haven, a safe place to be themselves. A mixture of the supernatural world that can be found in one place. The sheriff was a werewolf, the town mayor was a vampire, and the fire chief a witch. All the creatures who call this place home had the protection of not only the town but of all of its residents.

Madison Montgomery watched as the first snowflakes of the year fell outside the door of her bookstore. She loved this time of year—when the end of fall came and the first days of winter were upon them.

The town sheriff drove by in his SUV, and Madison stepped away from the window. She’d been avoiding Sheriff Tom since last winter, when on New Year’s they’d shared a deep sensual kiss. It had heated her blood and body and left her aching for more. By the look on his face, he’d also been surprised by the kiss.

Normally this wouldn’t have a problem, but Madison had also shared a kiss with another man—Dante—and that had thrown her through a loop.

Dante was the Master Vampire to the others in the area. He was like a father to them, connected by the sharing of blood.

Madison’s best friend and business partner, Angie, was a shifter who was dating a vampire Chad. Madison had come to love Chad as a brother. It wasn’t the vampire thing throwing her off with Dante, or not all of it anyway. Madison couldn’t figure out how she could have such a strong reaction to two very different men.

The bell above the door sang out as Angie rushed inside. “Oh wow! It’s cold out there!” she exclaimed.

Madison laughed, stepping back behind the counter. “Well, it does have to be pretty cold for it to snow.”

“Ha! Ha! Comedian,” Angie said as she unwrapped the scarf from her neck. The small bite marks that covered her neck stood out as if screaming ‘taken’. Her red hair shone against her white sweater as she brushed snowflakes from it.

She and Angie had been best friends for years. After losing the last of her relatives in a tragic fire, Madison had come to think of Angie as family.

Madison’s power as a witch was pretty minor compared to others in the town, but she’d never had proper training. Her mother had married a mortal and moved away. After her mother’s death, when Madison was nine, her father had refused to let any magic take place in the house. She and her brother Matt had learned at an early age to hide their magic from him. Two years later, when they’d moved in with their grandparents back in Grand Falls, Madison hadn't been ready to go against her father’s wishes so soon after his death. Her brother, however, had jumped right in practicing spells with their grandmother.

Thinking about Matt brought back a sharp pain in her heart, and she quickly shook her head and thought about something else. “How’s the party planning going?”

Angie grinned and clapped her hands together. “It’s going to be great! Everyone in town is coming.”

Madison knew that. It was the reason she was dreading the party. Turning to the coffeepot, she poured them each a cup. “Sounds pretty big,” she commented.

“Well it’s not every day you turn a hundred.”

Madison smiled into her coffee. That was true. Chad would be turning one hundred, and Angie was throwing him a big party at the town centre. She’d been working on the preparations for months now.

“Dante’s going to stay with Chad until it’s time to bring him into town.”

At the mention of Dante’s name, Madison made sure not to have a reaction. Six months after the kisses, Madison had confided in Angie. Now, her best friend was convinced Madison needed to spend the night with Dante or Tom or both. Madison kept telling her friend she needed time to figure it out, but Angie was relentless in her pursuit to get Madison laid.

My thoughts on Magical Menage:

This is a book that I believe you will enjoy if you like the Were Chronicles series. Yes it is a MFM story but I believe even readers who only enjoy MF books will like this one. There is no interaction (sexually) between the males characters. So it is not MMF.

Madison is quirky and funny and I really love her. Add in two hot sexy men, one a vampire, and one a shifter. Oh yea! That is my cup of tea!
The second book I want to bring to your attention is Eternal. This is a stand alone vampire story.

Eternal Book Blurb:
Jo Black went in search of a vampire...and finding one is going to rock her world.

Immortal Nic Lucian has finally met his bond-mate only to have her try to kill him. As he tries to introduce her to his world and reunite her with her sister who is now an immortal, he gets a lesson in modern women and how stubborn they can be.

Jo's world had been turned upside down. The death of her sister introduced her to the world of vampire hunting. Now she learns the hard way that crosses, stakes, holy water, and sunlight don't work. And you better protect your heart and body, because when an immortal wants you, he gets you - one way or another.
Eternal Excerpt:
Jo Black pulled into the barely lit parking lot of the club Eternal. It was just shy of midnight, and she had already hit two other clubs. She was on a mission that had yet to be fulfilled. She knew she couldn’t go home until it was.

She’d spent weeks preparing for tonight—what she would wear, how she would talk, and how she’d get him to leave with her. Her whole life came down to this one night, and she had to be ready. She could not fail in this mission.

Slowly, she walked towards the front door. Her black knee-high boots crunched on the gravel, making more noise than she’d expected. She stopped and took in her surroundings. A cold shiver ran down her spine, and she felt like she was being watched. She turned in a complete circle but saw no one and nothing moved. Shaking her head, she continued to the door.

She wore a short black skirt that didn’t come anywhere near her knees and red silk shirt that was cut low and tight, teasing with the flash of flesh when she moved. Her long brown hair was left loose, falling in silky strands down past the middle of her back. She would turn heads when she walked in, as she had when she’d entered the other two clubs earlier. But she knew what she wanted and would wait for him. Only he would do.

Opening the door, she blinked several times to adjust to the low light. The music wasn’t as loud as the other clubs she’d visited but it immediately caught her attention with its low tone and soft, inviting feel. It had a jazzy feel to it. She wasn’t sure what she was listening to, but she liked it. Someone cleared their throat to her left and she realised she had been staring into the club. The woman behind the stand smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes.

“Invitation please,” she said, holding out her hand.

Jo slid her hand down her leg to her boot and took out the black and silver invitation Roger had given her earlier that night. She handed it to the woman without saying a word. She wasn’t sure how Roger had gotten the invitation; she just hoped it worked and got her in.

The woman took her time, looking at the invitation, then at her. Nodding her head, she told Jo, “Go ahead.”

That was it. She was in.

This was one of the most exclusive clubs in town and Jo Black had just gotten through the door. A quick jolt of thrill went through her. This was it, she could feel it.

She nodded and smiled at the bouncer who stood next to the stand. She hadn’t noticed him before. He seemed to have shifted out of the shadows.

As he let her pass, she realised the club was far nicer than she expected. There were no strobe lights like there were in most clubs. This club was dark, very dark, with only a few lamps on the walls around the booths. She could see the outline of bodies sitting at tables or booths close to one another.

As she walked closer into the middle of the club, she watched the dance floor where people swayed slowly against one another. This wasn’t what she was used to. She swallowed hard, knowing that, if this was the place, she was way out of her league.

Ignoring the feeling of dread and fear that curled in her stomach, she headed to the bar. She took a seat on one of the empty bar stools and glanced around. There were only five other stools occupied, all men and all looking at her. She didn’t smile at them, didn’t bat her eyes, or give a flirty look. Roger had told her to sit. Sit and wait, and he would find her.

She had asked what to do if no one approached her, but Roger was convinced it would be less than an hour. She was afraid she wouldn’t recognise him and an innocent would get hurt, but Roger just waved that off.

“He’ll come to you, Jo. He won’t be able to resist,” Roger had told her. She wasn’t sure what that meant exactly but she had to trust that Roger knew what he was talking about. She had come this far and it was too late to back out now.

Jo jumped when the bartender suddenly appeared in front of her. The people who worked around here kept managing to surprise her as if they appeared from nowhere. Which played into everything she knew about the undead. She wondered if they did it on purpose.

He smiled, showing perfectly white, straight, even teeth, and she relaxed. “So sorry, chére, didn’t mean to give you a start. Name’s Logan and what can I get you?”

It took her a minute to put together everything he said through his thick southern accent, but once she did, it made her smile.

“Hello. May I have a glass of Chardonnay please?”

Smiling down at her, he winked. “Coming right up.”

Jo watched as he poured her drink. He was young, probably in his mid-twenties, with blond hair and blue eyes. His southern accent had been thick and sweet, and she liked him almost immediately but decided to be cautious. Roger had told her that the undead could put glamour on themselves and her, making her do their bidding. Somehow she knew deep down that Logan wasn’t one of the monsters. It was a feeling she had to trust. Most of her life, she had been able to read others well. Her sister had even joked that it was a gift. Jo shook her head to dissolve any thoughts of her sister. She couldn’t dwell on that. She had a job to do.

My thoughts on Eternal:
I like this book. Yes I know I wrote it so that is no surprise but to me it is a fun vampire story with mystery, romance, and a female character on a mission.
Finally I would like to introduce you to Vamps in the City. This also is a stand alone vampire story.

Vamps in the City Book Blurb:
One moment in time will bring two people together and change the destiny of a city.

Vampires are running wild and it is Grant’s job to keep his own kind in check. The warrior of choice, Grant quietly works with his team to keep the streets safe while his heart breaks over his own past. When Grant is about ready to give up the search for his missing sister, he runs into a woman who will make him question everything he thought he knew and sets off events that will rock the city he calls home.

Paige has been on the run too long and is at the end of her rope when she meets the handsome and intriguing Grant. Surrendering to her passion for the vampire is one thing, giving him her heart… that’s another story. Especially when she’s not sure whether Grant wants her for himself or for the connection to his sister.

Miscommunication, betrayal, and pure evil work to keep these two soul mates apart. Will they have a chance to learn that love can conquer all? Or is it already too late?
Vamps in the city Excerpt:
Paige sensed the moment she was no longer alone. She could also sense that the person coming up the street was not human. Paige kept her head down and her hands buried deep in the coat pockets. If she could sense him, he would be able to sense her.

She kept her steps the same. She didn’t speed up nor slow down, and neither did he. She clutched the dagger she kept in her pocket—it wouldn’t kill him but it would help give her time to get away. She could stab him and, while he was temporarily stunned, turn and run like Hell.

As he reached for her, Paige ducked her head and swept her foot out. This one was faster than the rest and managed to avoid her effort to trip him. He was also faster than she, because in the next instant, her arm was twisted painfully behind her back and she was slammed face-first into a brick building.

He used his legs to imprison Paige’s lower body while one hand held her arm in place. When she felt his other hand feeling down her leg, no doubt searching for weapons, she used her free elbow to try to strike a blow, but he immediately blocked it. He tightened his grip on her arm, and she had to bite her lip to keep from crying out.

“Stand still,” he demanded in a low voice.

He pocketed both her daggers from her jacket. And the long retractable knife from her boot.

Damn it. Those things were expensive. She had to get them back.

Paige found herself being turned around and pushed back into the wall by her shoulders. He started at her feet and took his time until he’d gazed at every inch of her. Paige hated the feelings he raised—the helplessness, the certainty he would take what he wanted just like all the others.

“Who are you?”

She didn’t answer but brought her knee up violently. He easily blocked it with his leg. It had been a stupid attempt, but she wouldn’t quietly give in—she would fight like she always did.

He shook her hard once before slamming her into the wall again.

Paige’s head snapped back and she bit her tongue.

Fuck! She so didn’t need this shit tonight.

She started to taste copper, and knew that if she could smell the blood, he certainly could. She had just a few minutes before he went into blood lust.

He smiled and Paige was shocked to see how handsome he was. She gave him the same thorough once-over he had just given her.

Handsome wasn’t the right word. Ruggedly beautiful fit him better. He stood over six feet tall to her average five six. He had dark hair and dark eyes, but it was his face… He was gorgeous. Strong jaw with just enough stubble to be sexy, his nose perfect, and his lips…full and plump. Just begging to be taken. Paige was sure he used his looks to his advantage in luring his prey.

But Paige wasn’t on the menu tonight. No pretty face would get her to let her guard down. Well, at least never again.

She may only be half as strong as the weakest vampire, but she had street smarts. She’d learnt to make it on her own and had for years now. This man…no, this monster would not end her.

There was no way to beat him. And now she was bleeding. It was already healing, but the damage had been done. She had to use her strong will and every dirty trick she knew if she wanted to get out alive.

As he leaned into her, Paige readied her hands to defend herself. Once again proving he was faster and more skilled than she, he didn’t give her a chance to do more. Paige found her arms up over her head as he pressed into her, holding both wrists in one hand. The warm, hard body that pressed into hers made her come instantly alive. She had known to expect the reaction but it still hit hard. Paige became light-headed and her knees went weak as he rubbed against her and nuzzled her neck.

“Young. Young and strong blood. Smells so sweet,” he murmured into her ear and she shivered. And it wasn’t all from fear.

He ran his mouth from her temple down her cheek, nipped her ear, and travelled down her jaw line.

Paige gasped out a breath, trying to fight the emotions he was bringing alive inside. It was a natural attraction she had to fight every day. But it had never been as hard as it was now.
My thoughts on Vamps in the city
This is the first book that I wrote over 30,000 words. It moved me from short stories to Novellas.
Vamps in the City was one of the first books I wrote although it wasn’t published until later. I like the unique twist of the vampires and the compound in which they reside.
Both the main characters are stubborn and have their own views of the world. Paige is not fully a vampire and hates what she is.
So there you have the three books I hope you will give some thought to.

Flashback Friday Part 3- Corporate Wolves Books

Thank you for joining me for week three of my Flashback Friday Blog Posts! I have been super excited to share the books from the Corporate Wolves series.

Back in 2009 I started my second series through Totally Bound. This series the corporate wolves follows the lives of wolf shifters as they explore their unique relationships.

                                                       Corporate Wolves Series Blurb:

One would think the hardest part of being a wolf shifter would be keeping their secret from the world. Not for these high-powered executives. In search for not one mate but two, these determined shifters will stop at nothing to claim what is theirs. The corporate world had better be ready for the wolves that no longer hid in the woods.

Board room meetings and business dinners just got a whole lot more interesting.

I started this series to expand my writing and have some fun. All of the books in this series are MMF or ménage books.

Book 1 is a short story titled: The Favour

Doing a favour for her two bosses will turn out to be the most erotic experience of her life.

Annebelle Scott has lusted over her bosses for some time. When they ask a favour of her, she agrees. All she has to do is accompany them to their weekend house to work on a file that must be completed before Monday. Oh, and manage to hide her desire for them for a couple days. How hard can that be?

Matt McCoy and Trevor King have put their plan in motion to add Annabelle to their family. They concoct a story to get her to go away with them for the weekend. In the safety of their weekend house and family territory, they will not only claim her as a mate, but introduce her to the world of shape-shifters.

The Favour Excerpt:

Annabelle Scott nervously ran her hands over her grey knee-length skirt as the elevator took its time taking her up to the top floor.

She’d only gotten the message that her boss wanted to see her minutes ago. Unfortunately her co-worker Justin Black had thought it would be funny to see her rush so she didn’t keep the top man waiting.

She wasn’t nervous about meeting with her boss about work, knowing that she did her job well. Since she’d joined the company over a year ago, the accounting department had run smoothly. Nothing like the mess she’d had to clean up when she’d arrived.

No, she was unsettled over the thought of being in close contact with her boss. Ever since the day she’d interviewed with him, she had been hiding a secret desire for him.

It was not proper in the business world and more unlikely to ever happen. She wasn’t a size two. While her friends had told her she was pretty, she knew she was nothing compared to the drop-dead gorgeous woman Matthew ‘Mac’ McCoy seemed to like on his arm.

Then there was the problem with his right-hand man. While Mac was tall, dark, and handsome, his vice president, Trevor King, was muscular, blond, and blue eyed. The two of them together were potent. And every woman’s wet dream. Every time she ran into one man, he was with the other. Her hormones couldn’t take much more.

The elevator chimed, letting her know that she had reached her destination, and Annabelle flicked her hair from her eyes and took a deep breathe.

Stepping onto the thick tan carpet she felt her heel dig in and tried not to trip. What would her boss think if he saw her sprawled out over the floor? Her lips lifted in a smile at the thought.

“Ms. Scott,” her boss’s secretary greeted as Annabelle walked towards her desk.

“Hi Mary,” she returned. She liked the older woman and had from the moment she met her.

“He’s waiting for you,” Mary told her with a smile.

Glancing at her watch, Annabelle frowned. She wasn’t late yet.

“You’re not late,” the other woman confirmed. “He’s just in a mood today.”

“Okay thanks,” Annabelle responded distractedly. She really didn’t want to see her boss in a bad mood.

Annabelle stopped at the entrance of his office and looked in on him. He sat bent over his computer keyboard, pounding away. Mary was right if the way his fingers flew over the keyboard was any indication he was most definitely not happy. She knocked on the doorframe, not wanting to walk in without permission.

Matt’s head snapped up, and she watched as his golden eyes narrowed. She had never seen that colour before, but it fit him perfectly. Just like everything about him was perfect.

“Ms. Scott, finally.” His deep voice carried to her.

My thoughts on The Favour:

This was one of my favorite books to write. From the first age to the last I enjoyed writing the scenes and bringing the characters to life. I really believe that if you love to read about wolf shifters this is a great book to try.

Book Two: Losing Control

A wolf shifter known for his control will be tested by his two mates.

Shawn King had a plan—Return home and claim the man he’s always known was his mate.

But Kyle Moore has other plans. After being left once, he’s not ready to just jump aboard and give Shawn his heart again.

Then, the finding of their third mate derails both men as they try to find a way to introduce her into not only a ménage relationship but one that involves shifters.

Passion and strong emotions threaten to explode and leave them all burned.

Losing Control Excerpt:

Shawn King walked through the automatic doors of the corporate office building housing McCoy Industries, where he would now work. He’d only been back in town for a month, but he was already starting to go stir crazy with having nothing to do. He’d left his security business in London to come home.

It was time to settle down and claim his mates.

He pushed the button of the elevator and waited. His brother’s mate, CEO of McCoy Industries, had offered him a job as head of security until he decided what to do. Shawn hadn’t planned on taking Mac up on his offer, but he didn’t see much choice. It looked like the only way to get closer to the object of his desire.

Shawn stepped into the elevator and fate smiled at him as he heard the deep command to hold the elevator. He was more than happy to comply.

The man who had haunted his dreams for two years stepped inside with his head down, attention on his briefcase. “Thanks,” he murmured.

“No problem,” Shawn told him, boldly watching as the other man’s head snapped up.

“What are you doing here?” Kyle Moore asked, his eyes narrowing.

Shawn would have laughed out loud at the look on the other man’s face but he knew that wouldn’t win him any points. Instead, he shifted closer. “I’m back. In fact, Mac has offered me a job, so I will be around…a lot.”

He let that sink in for a minute. He could smell the subtle change in the other man’s body. Kyle had first been uneasy and angry. His scent now included intrigue. Shawn was hopeful that meant Kyle was still attracted.

“You’re going to work here?” Kyle asked, disbelief colouring his voice.

Shawn nodded. Kyle was only a couple of inches shorter than Shawn’s six foot three frame. The build on the other man was good and he knew that under his dark blue suit, Kyle’s body was to die for.

He licked his lips remembering the one night they had spent together.

Kyle cleared his throat and Shawn refocused. “I asked if you really planned on working here.”

Shawn smiled at the annoyance in his voice. “I do.”

Kyle grunted in response. “For how long? How long before you leave again?”

Shawn knew he deserved the scepticism on Kyle’s face but he didn’t like the flash of hurt that showed before Kyle covered it.

Taking a chance, he reached out to Kyle. He placed his hand on the other man’s shoulder and squeezed. “I won’t be going anywhere…again. I’m here to stay.”

Kyle swallowed and Shawn barely held back a groan. The erection straining against the zipper of his khaki pants had to be visible. He looked down and was relieved to find Kyle was having the same reaction to the closeness.

“And there’s something you should know,” Shawn told him as he brushed his erection against Kyle’s.

“What?” Kyle asked, his voice strained.

“I came back for one reason,” Shawn admitted. When Kyle didn’t question him further, he leaned closer to whisper in his ear.

The elevator dinged as he spoke. “To claim you.”

Kyle’s breath rushed out and he blinked. The elevator doors opened but he didn’t move to exit.

Shawn stepped aside to let him off. “I’ll see you soon,” he promised.

Kyle growled in the back of his throat before glaring at him and stomping off. Before the doors closed, he looked back. Shawn just smiled.

My thoughts on Losing Control:

While this is the second book in the Corporate Wolves series this can be read as a stand alone but I think it is better if you read these books in order. I always planned to have five books in this series and hope there can still be stories added to continue the fun.

Both books from the Corporate Wolves series are available from Totally Bound, Amazon, All Romance EBooks, and Barnes and Noble.

I hope you found a couple more books that if you haven’t read you will be able to pick them up. If you already do have them how about re-visiting them once again!

Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget by commenting on this blog post or any social media posts about the Flashback Friday blogs you will be entered to win a $10.00 Amazon gift card! And Don't forget to join me next Friday for a look at my vampire books from my backlist.

Flashback Friday Part 2- Contemporary Books

Flashback Friday Part Two: Contemporary Books

Thanks for joining me for week two of my January Blog Posts Flashback Friday. This week I would like to reintroduce you to some of my first releases in the contemporary genre. Yes, there was a time when I write books that had no paranormal element in them. Shocking I know!

First let me introduce you to Seduced by the Neighbour

Seduced by the Neighbour was my second book release with Totally Bound. This is also one of my favorites. Out of any of the contemporary books that I wrote this is the one I recommend the most. I actually submitted Seduced by the Neighbour before my first release Savage Love. Due to timing Savage Love was released in 2008 and Seduced by the Neighbour was pushed back until March 2009.
Seduced by the Neighbour Blurb:
Sometimes a world of unimaginable pleasure can be found right next door.

Cara Livley and Matt Adams are neighbours and friends. Each of them fights the attraction that pulls them closer to crossing a line that could end their friendship. Matt is a dominant male who believes he would scare Cara away with his needs in the bedroom. However, Cara has a secret of her own.

When Matt finds Cara's stash of erotica books, he knows this is his one chance to teach Cara about his lifestyle. Cara is eager to learn all she can from her neighbour even if it means giving him her complete trust.

The first time Matt touches Cara, he fears that this petite, shy woman could bring him to his knees. As he takes her through a morning of erotic pleasure, he fights himself, knowing he cannot keep her. No matter how good she feels in his arms. Cara is fighting her own demons. She wants more than just one time with this talented man.

After one day together, everything will change. For better or for worse.

Reader Advisory: This book contains light bondage.
Seduced by the Neighbour Excerpt:
Cara Livley cursed under her breath. She was trying to unlock her front door without dropping the two bags of groceries she held. She balanced a knee against the doorframe and shifted to insert the key.

“Need some help?”

The familiar muscular voice that came from behind surprised her, making her yelp and jerk. She lost her balance.

Matt Adams, her neighbour across the hall, placed a hand against her back to steady her as he secured the grocery bags with his other arm.

“You’re back,” Cara said, straightening herself from leaning against him. Her heart speed up and her hands shook from the brief contact.

“Got in last night,” he told her as he studied her face.

Cara was sure he could see the blush across her checks and the sweat starting to bead on her forehead. She quickly dropped her gaze in embarrassment and reached over to place the key in the lock.

Matt always affected her this way. With his deep penetrating stare, it was almost like he could see to her soul. When she was around him, she became a nervous giddy teenager again. She hated her reaction to him. Her hands shook so badly it took her three tries to get the key into the lock. She sighed with relief when she heard the click.

Matt followed her into the apartment carrying the two bags of groceries. He’d been in her apartment before, but this time, he looked around as if thinking. Cara was relieved it was clean. No dirty clothes on the floor or dishes in the sink. His gaze drifted towards the stairs to her bedroom, the one place she’d never let him see.

All the apartments on this floor had the same floor plan. So her loft apartment was very much like his. But hers was much more homey and comfortable. Instead of being overly female, Cara kept her apartment in neutral colours without a lot of fuss. Her tan leather couch had a matching chair. The coffee table was the same maple as the end tables and entertainment stand. She had an up-to-date expensive flat screen TV and stereo system.

Like him, she didn’t have a dining table. Instead barstools sat under the counter that separated the living room from the kitchen. That was the only thing the two apartments had in common. When she’d seen his, she hadn’t been surprised. It was the typical bachelor apartment. One couch, a coffee table, and an old worn chair were the only things he had in his living room. His kitchen cabinets were often empty.

He set the groceries down on the counter and leaned back and, crossing his ankles, made it clear he was in no hurry to leave. She kept her gaze from meeting his as she went about putting the groceries away. She had a specific place for each item in her kitchen. Hoping he didn’t notice and think it was weird, she hurriedly put the groceries away. Matt stared at her as she folded the bags neatly before placing them in a drawer.

“Did you have a good trip?” Without anything else to do with her hands, she placed them, palms down, against the island.

He shrugged a shoulder. “Glad to be home.”

It was his standard answer, and Cara smiled. She was never going to get anything out of him. She knew he worked for the government, although he didn’t go into work every day and didn’t wear a suit. He kept what he did a mystery. It was one more aspect of him that made her pulse speed up and kept her up at night thinking about.

She had lain awake many nights thinking about his strong body and what he could do to her. She’d woken up many mornings sweating and her body on fire as she remembered the dreams of him taking her in every imaginable position. She lusted after her neighbour but that was all there was. She knew a man like him wouldn’t be interested in a quiet, squeaky-clean, boring woman like herself.

“How’s the new book coming?” he asked as she quietly studied her hands.

“What?”

He laughed. “How's your new book coming along?”

Cara bit her lip and pressed her fingers into the granite that covered the island. Why would he ask about her book? He couldn’t know that she… She quickly shook her head to stop her train of thought. He was just making idle conversation. He didn’t know anything about her book or the main characters.

She forced herself to laugh. “Well, the hero is a stubborn, hard-headed, opinionated man who keeps taking advantage of the heroine’s inexperience in a crisis.”

“Sounds like I’d like him.”

Cara shifted nervously from foot to foot.

Amusement was evident in his voice when he asked. “So what’s not going right?”

She jerked her head back up. “How do you know it’s not going smoothly?”

Matt pushed off the counter and leaned toward “Because I know you, Cara.”

Cara stared at him for several seconds and tried to digest what he said. She was pretty sure he was just messing with her. Relaxing her shoulders, she smiled up at him. “Oh yeah?”
My thoughts on Seduced by the Neighbour:
As I said, if you were to pick up any of my contemporary books this is the one I would start with. Cara was the first female that I gave a story too. She is attracted to her sexy neighbor but is scared to make a pass at him and lose Matt’s friendship. Matt likes to dominate his partners in bed. He has longed for Cara to be one of them but is unsure how she would take his need to dominate.
This was a blast to write. There is a little bondage as Matt discovers Cara’s books and finally realizes they may be on the same page. This is a short story, only 10,000 words, but is good for some sexy fun.

The second book I would like to share with you is Summers’ Girl. This is a quick read about Hannah and Jake. Hannah goes back to her childhood home and meets Jake who is doing repairs on the house. I love the skinny dippy scene and really enjoyed writing it!

Summers’ Girl Blurb:

The summer heat isn't the only thing causing Hannah Wagner's temperature to soar - half-naked carpenter Jake Summers is doing more than his part.

Hannah Wagner needs a place to relax and escape everyday life - and the summer home of her childhood fits the bill. She's shocked and a little uneasy by the instant sexual attraction she finds with the carpenter who is renovating the house. Hannah fights her attraction to Jake Summers, but when she finds him skinny dipping in the lake behind her house, it only adds fuel to the fire inside her.

But Hannah is not only looking for a break from her life, she is running from a troubled past and a dangerous ex-husband. When Hannah's ex shows up and threatens her, Jake calls in his old Special Forces team to help. He is determined to bring the man down...and cement the fact that Hannah is Jake Summers' girl.

Summers’ Excerpt:

Hannah Wagner drove up the winding road that led to the old vacation house where she had spent her childhood summers. She’d been so relieved when she called the realtor’s office and found it vacant for the summer.

The realtor had explained to her that renovations were nearly done, but it wasn’t ready to rent yet. Since the inside was mostly complete, Hannah had convinced her that she wouldn’t mind the construction being done on the outside. The realtor had rented it to her for a steal.

Hannah could barely contain her excitement as she prepared herself for the house coming into view. As she turned the corner, her foot automatically slammed on the brakes and she sat in the middle of the road with her mouth open.

The house looked terrible. The shutters sat crooked on the windows, the front lawn was overgrown with weeds, and the front porch looked like it was ready to cave in.

After several minutes, she was able to regain her composure and slowly pull the car to the driveway. Luckily, it was cleared enough to give her room to park the vehicle up in front of the house.

“My goodness,” she whispered from inside the comfortable interior of her car.

Hannah turned off the engine and opened the door. The stifling summer heat surrounded her, and she could feel the sweat start to bead on her forehead in only seconds. It was going to be terribly hot this summer.

She made her way around the house, following a small path of mowed grass to the back yard. A man was bent over a large green lawnmower, shaking his head.

Hannah could tell he was trying to tame the overgrown wreck that had once been her favourite place to sit and read. She hoped he would get it done soon. She had stocked up on books for her getaway.

Seeing the man's attention was otherwise occupied, she took a good look. From what she could tell, he was around her age. The strong muscles of his back rippled as he struggled to get the machine working. She sighed and decided look at the inside of the house. It had to be better than the outside. She couldn’t go back home. She had to stay. She walked up the back stairs saying a silent prayer. If it was liveable, or nearly so, she would make do.

A wave of relief washed over her when she opened the back door to the kitchen and saw it was completely intact. The cabinets had been sanded and stained, the tiles replaced, and the walls had a new layer of paint, but it still felt like a piece of home from her past.

Every night her mother would spend hours cooking, baking, cleaning, and Hannah could remember sitting at the table watching.

Hannah ran her hand over the old oak table. Yes, this was exactly what she needed. Her spirits higher, she moved quickly through the living room, dining room, family room, before making her way up the stairs.

The banister to the staircase had also been sanded and repaired, but it didn’t take away the memories of her sliding down it with her brother chasing her. Tears pricked her eyes even as she laughed at the memories. She went directly to the room that had always been hers.

The walls that once held old peeling wallpaper where now painted a soft blue. The room still had a soft touch to it, and Hannah took a deep breath, remembering the time she had spent inside. This was the room she would stay in.

She went to the master bedroom next.

The memory of her parents asleep in the large bed had the tears that had stayed pooled in her eyes falling. They had been gone a long time now. Nearly ten years. But the car crash that took not only her parents but her brother as well was still fresh in her mind.

She rubbed the back of her hand over her eyes and went to check the last bedroom. The room that had been her brother David’s. Its door was the only one closed. Hannah opened it slowly and her heart sank and the sight of the empty room. There were still paint cans on the floor, brushes and rollers piled, and the window was covered. Unlike the others, this room held no furniture.

Doesn’t matter, she told herself, walking further into the room. The picture of her younger brother splayed over the bedspread came clearly. The floor would be covered with cars and trucks. Her father was always yelling about stepping on them.

Hannah turned in a circle, her eyes closed, trying to picture more of the room.

“Watch out!”

Hannah heard the order too late to avoid tripping over a paint can. Strong arms circled around her and kept her from falling to the ground.

As she looked up, her breath whooshed out as she saw the most handsome face she’d ever seen. The clear green eyes were full of amusement as the man helped her stand straight.

“Oh my,” she whispered, her gaze locked with his.

My thoughts on Summers’ Girl:

This book is sort of connected to Seduced by the Neighbour as Jake and Matt were in the military together. You do not need to read one to enjoy the other. It was just a way for me to connect my writing.

Thirdly, I would like to talk about Lacey’s Seduction

Lacey’s Seduction is a book about a woman who had a one night stand with a man. And wanted more. So she sets out to get who she wants!

Lacey’s Seduction Blurb:

One seduction leads to another as two people fight to come together.

Lacey seduces Brent Wilson after careful planning. Everything seems to go according to plan...until he gets up and leaves, breaking her heart in the process.

Brent knows he messed things up with Lacey. He has to make things up to her. Using her feelings for him, he sets out to return the seduction.

Will they find their way to each other or end up destroying each other's hearts?

Lacey’s Seduction Excerpt:

Five years, she'd waited.

Five years, she'd wanted him.

Tonight, after months of planning, she would have him.

Lacey Palmer stood in front of Brent Wilson baring her soul. The black lace camisole parted seductively, giving a full view of her soft, round breasts. The matching thong would come off with just the slightest tug. The black stockings hugged her legs, stopping at her tanned thighs, and the stiletto heels that finished the outfit would put her mouth at just the right height.

She motioned him into the plush hotel room with a crook of her finger and toss of her hair.

He stepped inside, looking like every woman's fantasy man. Dark hair and eyes matched his tanned face. As he approached she watched the muscles of his thighs strain against the material of his slacks. She could tell he was already hard. But she wanted more from him.

His face showed his surprise when he’d seen her open the door half dressed. She’d sent him an email that said she would be coming to town to attend a conference. It was just a small lie. But one she hoped would result in spending the entire weekend wrapped around him. She hoped she could turn their friendship into something much more intimate.

Lacey closed the remaining distance and ran the tip of her tongue over his jaw and across his lips. When he opened his mouth to allow her access, she moved down.

She didn’t kiss him yet. If she did, she might lose control and her seduction would go to waste. Brent was an alpha male, and she wanted to give him a night of pleasure. Give herself to him so he might feel more for her.

She was encouraged that he hadn’t questioned her yet. He hadn’t backed away and told her to stop. She swallowed the fear of rejection and continued to try to entice him to her bed.

He looked elegant in his dark pleated pants and white button down shirt. He was tall, over six feet of pure American beef.

With shaky fingers, she undid each button of his shirt. Once she reached the waistband of his pants, she pulled the shirt out and let it fall to the floor.

Running her hands first over his shoulders then his chest, she bent her head to place feather light kisses. He lifted a hand and buried it in her hair, and as she moved lower, it tightened. When she reached the clasp of his pants, he grabbed her hand.

"Be sure," is all he said, his voice soft and quiet.

She shivered in anticipation.

Oh, she was sure. She was absolutely positive that this night with him would be even more spectacular than her fantasies. She brushed his hand away and slowly undid the clasp and zipper. Letting them fall to the ground, she moaned in approval as his erection sprang out. He didn’t wear any underwear, and for some reason, that turned her on even more.

She gently wrapped her hand around him and ran her thumb over the tip, collecting the small drop of pre-cum. Her mouth watered at the thought of tasting him.

My Thoughts on Lacey’ s Seduction:

Lacey is a spit fire. She knows what she wants and she wants Brent. Brent panicks and ends up messing things up. Now with some help from a few friends Brent tries to win Lacey back. Brent is another member of the elite special force along with Matt and Jake. Again you do not have to read any of the other books or can read in any order.

The final book I would like to bring attention to is Bid High

Bid High is a MFM or ménage book.

Bid High Blurb:

A bachelor auction, a plan, and a night that will change everything.

Amber Wilson is tired of her boring life. She craves something more than just the average day ho-hum. When her best friend gets tickets to the hottest event in town, Amber sees her chance to live wild for one night.

Thomas Baldwin and Jake Grant have watched Amber from a far. They know she is the one woman who can complete the life they've made for themselves. The woman who will accept their love for each other while filling the hole that remains.

The plan - get the auction tickets to Amber's friend, get her to bid and win Thomas, then use every trick in the book to seduce her into becoming theirs.

Forever.

Bid High Excerpt:

You didn’t!” Amber Wilson was shocked. In disbelief, she stared at her two best friends.

Trish nodded. “I did!”

Jessica laughed with Trish. “It wasn’t easy either. The auction has been sold out for months.”

“I’m not going!” Amber argued. They really expected her to go to an auction, bid on a stranger and have sex with him? Her best friends should know her better than that.

“You’re going,” Trish told her sternly. Then Amber watched with horror as Trish took the tickets from her purse.

Amber tried a different angle. “You can’t afford those!” She was not going.

“Actually I didn’t. They were…a gift. And you two are my dates.”

Jessica stirred her coffee. “We don’t need dates. We buy them there.” She giggled.

Taking a drink of her coffee, Amber tried to come up with another excuse. “I can’t afford the men there.”

Her two friends exchanged amused smiles. “It’s for charity. A very good charity. And we all know you’re loaded anyway.”

Amber sighed, knowing no excuse would be good enough. “I’d be so embarrassed.”

Reaching out a hand, Jessica patted her arm. “We’ll be there for support. I’m sorry we had to do it this way but you need to get out there again.”

“It’s been three years, honey,” Trish added.

“I know how long it’s been,” she snapped, not wanting to dwell too much on why it had been three years. “And it’s not that I’m not ready, I just haven’t met anyone I find…interesting.”

“Maybe Friday night you will,” Trish pointed out gently.

My thoughts on Bid High:

I love this book! I wrote this for fun and ended submitted it later. Amber is Brent’s sister from lacey’s Seduction. Amber’s friends work with the two main male characters Thomas and Jake and she totally gets set up.

She ends up winning one of the men in an auction but it is both men that want her in their bed. Together.

The men already have a relationship and want Amber to complete their circle.

So here you go...
