E-books

Happy St. Patricks Day everyone. I hope you get alot of good pinches and kisses.
Today I am blogging about e-books since that is where I sent my erotic romance book into.
So the following is my for favorite places to get e-books and some authors I like. There are more authors. Also and this is important; some of the authors write for a couple of these places but I only listed them once. When you check out an e-book home page you can look up by authorand see if your favorite is there.
Also you can look at what kind of book you want. Remember these are erotic sites that I but these from. There are more tamer romance, and etc, but these are the places that get my money the most!

So first to start:
What is an e-book?
Well it's an electronic book that you buy then download on your computer or reader. I download them to my computer or laptop if I'm going somewhere.
It is very very simple. Fins a book you like, pay, (I pay with pay-pal, then download and read.
No more waiting, driving across town, having to get dressed, put your make-up on, blah blah blah. Just click and read. I LOVE IT!

Okay so here is my top four places and some of the authors I like:
(Maybe some day my name will be on someone's blog. *sigh*cross fingers*throw salt over the shoulder* knock on wood*

Total-e-bound
authors:Sierra Cartwright, Portia Da Costa, Cassidy Ryan

Dark Eden Press
autors: Skylar Sinclair, Tess MacKall

Ellora's Cave
authors: Dawn Ryder, Tawny Taylor, Claire Thompson

Samhain Publishing
authors: Sydney Somers, Daisy Dexter Dobbs

So there you have it. If you know of any other authors or e-book places let me know! I never have enough to read.

Friday Night I bought Paige Tyler's Living in the Past. She is a written of 'spanking' stories. Yes you read that right. And it was just wonderful. I laughed out loud a couple of times and my hubby just looked at me. But that's how I know I just love a story is when I laugh out loud, if it can do that I always recommend them to others. Now I'm not into historical romance. Older times that just isn't me. But I read an excerpt of this book on her blog, liked it, and thought I'd try it. Now I am glad I did.

Also I am reading: J.D. Robb Stranders In Death. I only have a couple of chapters left. And it was just as good as all the others! Next up will be Kim Harrison's new book. It is sitting on my night stand caling me to read it!

So pick up a good book or even a e-book and let's chat about it!

Excerpt from Seducing the Neighbor

The following excerpt for seducing the Neighbor is for adults over the age of 18 only. Strong laungage included. This is right before the GOOD STUFF *sigh*

"What are you doing in my room?" She yelled as though he had invaded her inner sanctuary. Which he probably did.
He stood and held the book out to her cover up. She looked down and the blush on her cheeks was immediate. "Umm that…"
He lifted one dark eyebrow.
"Research. It’s research." She lied.
The smile that took his face told her that he knew she was lying.
"Getting into erotica writing Cara?"
"I…uh…I was…"
He threw the book onto the bed without taking his eyes off her. "Tell me something Cara. Do you touch yourself while you read these?"
Her reaction was a step back and her face turning beet red. He could see her biting her lip again. Damn she would be horrible at poker. Maybe he’d teach her to play strip poker but not right now. Right now he wanted her and he knew she wanted him so no more waiting. He might be pushing her but he’d waited long enough.
"Answer me Cara. Do you touch yourself? Rub your clit or dip your fingers inside your pussy." He stood before her dark eyes narrowing. He was done playing nice with her.
She didn’t answer just kept biting her lip.
"Look at me Cara."
She raised her beautiful green eyes and he felt his cock harden.
"Do you?"
She nodded her head.
Matt took a deep breath making sure to keep control of the situation. She looked very nervous and he wanted to keep her that way. "When was the last time you masturbated?"
She jerked back. "I…don’t…I…"
"Look at me." He demanded as her eyes drifted away again.
Her eyes snapped back to his.
"Answer me."
"This morning." Cara slapped a hand over her mouth. She hadn’t meant to answer him. It was none of his business. But her body was responding to his demands. It was every fantasy come to life for her. She had lusted after him for a year now. She knew her nipples were hard and her panties were damp.
Matt had never heard anything so sweet. His responsible, cute, and innocent neighbor had more under her skin then he thought. He had wanted to control her body before but now his own body demanded he take her the way she secretly craved.
She had looked away again and he frowned. "Look at me Cara and do not look away again.
The commanding tone had her body tingling. His demanding voice had her growing wetter.
"Now take off your shirt."

How I get my ideas

Well one question that I get the most is how do I get my ideas or where do my ideas come from? So let me share with you.
It is actually very simple. Sometimes they come from everyday conversations. You know wouldn't it be cool if... Or sometimes someone will say something and my mind will take me there. Also my dreams. We all have some mine might just happen to be strangers than most people. And last but not least sometimes I'll have a charcater that I want to write and bam! Theres the story.

Let me explain and give some examples:
Okay so my Supernatural novel came from someone asking me if I had to choose bewteen a vampire and werewolf which would it be? Well my first reaction is why do I have to choose. Then I started writing. And that was the background of the relationships.
On my demon series: I saw an alley while driving and thought hey that looks like a dream. In my dream I was being stalked but didn't know by what. So got that one.
Inmy short stories: Seducing the neighbor. The logic is when you are with someone that you love and trust you can be yourself 100% even in the bedroom. So...

You never know when you'll get the idea to write a book from. My last outline was from a comment on myspace. This is one reason I am an observer. I will see someone and I can have their entire story planned out for them. Yes. I know it won't be how they really live, but is it how they would want too?

That's my favorite thing about writing. The beginning, middle, and end. It what you want to say, or how you would end it, how it progresses from point A to point B.

I have alot of support rooting me on so I am very lucky. But let me know what you guys think. How you come up with ideas. Or what you thought of mine.

I will be posting a small excerpt of Seducing the Neighbor so stayed tuned in.

A little about me.

Well hello as I said I am an aspiring author. I have recently finished my first novel and am working on the rewrite. It is a paranormal romance. I am highly attracted to all things that go bump in the night. Vampires, werewolves, demons, and all. This rewrite has a long road ahead of it but why don't you join me for the ride. I will be posting excerpts and you can tell me how you really feel!

Also as I am working on my rewrite I have four outlines done for more work. So there is plenty to come.

One of my favorite additions is that I have gotten into writing erotic short stories. These I will be sending to e-publishers to try to get published. I have one finished. Including the rewrite, proofreading, and editing. I hope to have sent out by Monday. My second is finished and just needs the final touched, and my third is in chapter 5.

So like I said I will have plenty to share and hope you are interested in seeing it and letting me know what you think.
