Book Review Monday March 22nd

BOOK REVIEW MONDAY- FEB 22ND

Three new reviews up today! An interesting mix of books.

Book reviewed- Bad Cops by A. J. Llewellyn

Book Blurb- In this sequel to LAID, hot shot cop Jack Cannon is back in action. With his lover Lucio out of town on assignment, Jack has too much time on his hands and too much aggression to wait patiently at home for him.

With a multi-department takedown of a drug and gambling ring exposed in an old LA warehouse, Jack slips inside the ruined, crumbling building for some solo fun…except that a few other cops…and a bad guy or two have the same idea…some guys are just born to be bad…

My Rating- 3.75/ 5

My Thoughts- A short, graphic, hot read. I loved the first book with these characters Laid. This book picks up after the other, as has even more heat. A new twist on the two men that I found so intriguing.

What an interesting storyline. Not what I expected but enjoyed none of less. This book hit hard and sexy from the first moment and bam… your hooked

Book reviewed- Unspoken Desires by Stormy Glenn

Book Blurb- Daniel James, required by his alpha to attend a wolf council meeting at Vourdala Island, never expects to run into his mate, Brom McGregor. Several years ago Brom kicked him out of their pack saying he would never mate him, that he didn’t love Daniel. Running into Brom is almost more than he can handle when he knows he still loves the man.
Brom McGregor is shocked to see Daniel, the man he’s always loved and never forgotten. He’s even more shocked when his jealousy makes him to claim Daniel as his mate, especially since Brom is already married with two small children. To add to Brom’s problems, there’s a third mate, Jaryn, that Daniel doesn’t even know about, one that Brom has spent their years apart protecting.
Faced with a hunt to the death ordered by his father because he mated Daniel, Brom is forced to flee with his two small children and Jaryn. The only place he can think to go is to Daniel. Can he convince Daniel that he sent him away all those years ago to save his life even knowing that he’s putting Daniel in danger again? Will Daniel forgive him in time to save Jaryn’s life?

My Rating- 4.5/5

My Thoughts- Book Five in the Tri Omega sereis. Finally we get to see Daniel find his mate. Or more surprising he already knows who his mate is. The man who had sent him away years ago.

I loved this story. I love the whole series and have read the books several times. This is a great addition to the series and I was so glad that Daniel found both his mates. I hated, liked, hated, loved Brom although wasn’t much impressed with Jaryn. He was the only part of the book I didn’t like.

A wonderful, hot, sexy read. A MUST reread and will have to see more of this series.

Book reviewed- Duck Fart by Jade Buchanan

Book Blurb- Keith Malone is incredibly content. He loves coming around Del Fantasma… great food, great company, and a decent place to rest his soul when he needs it. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Cody lets him dust off his carpenter skills with the odd job here and there.

Bailey Mitchell is incredibly nervous. He's come all this way to San Diego, following up on a chance encounter that happened months earlier, and now he doesn't know what to do. One glance and it's obvious Adam's already taken. What's a lonely Siamese shifter to do?

Drake McKale is incredibly grouchy. He's sick and tired of every shifter he's run across making fun of him. Hey, duck's have feelings too! So what if he's smaller than everyone else? Spoiling for a fight he can actually win, he decides to pick on the shy, little kitty in the corner. Only, Drake never reckoned the diminutive cat would proposition him. Or that the big human in the corner would want in on the action.

One part burly human, one part shy Siamese shifter and one part twinky (and kinky) duck shifter… layer together and enjoy!

My Rating- 4/5

My Thoughts- I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I really enjoyed it and for the rest of the night couldn’t get the characters out of my head. That is meant as the highest compliment. Looks like there is more to the series as a first book was mentioned and it has been added to my TBR file.

This book had great humor, hot scenes, and men that you could just love.

I will be rereading it at some time.

Lol! Naria that is exactly what took me so long to read the book- with a title like that. However they do explain the title in the last paragraph of the book. It's pretty funny!
