BOOK REVIEW MONDAY MARCH 1ST

Book reviewed- Ryder’s Mate by Wendy Stone

Book Blurb- Ryder James knows from the moment he meets Jesse Krantz that Jesse is trouble. Figuring out what kind of trouble is not so easy. Ryder knows his duty: to protect the people of Sanctuary, Michigan. Period. If that means ignoring his instant attraction toward the impetuous young man, so be it.

Jesse Krantz is looking for explanations – or revenge. Will the truth he finds in Sanctuary end his life or save it?

Coming Together: Neat is proud to present erotic paranormal author Wendy Stone's first venture into gay male romance with a tale of two men who want very different things – but also want each other.

My Rating- 3.5/ 5

My thoughts- Very quick read. I should have probably read the book before although I didn’t know there was a book before.

The story didn’t get much into the characters feelings or expand on what I would have like. So I felt let down.

Good sex scenes and the characters are likable.

Book Reviewed- Skin Deep by S. W. Vaughn

Book Blurb- Will Ambrose knows everything about love except how to find it himself. He hosts a popular GLBT relationship radio show, but his own affairs have been rocky and abusive. With sexy, seductive tattoo artist Cobalt, it's lust at first sight. Unfortunately he's already involved ... until that night, when his late arrival home sends his cop partner into a jealous, violent rage Cobalt is a Fae, banished to live among humans. His studio, The Grotto, is both a hot spot for the NYC body art crowd and a haven for other Fae seeking protection. Though he's given up on relationships, since his human lovers tend to go insane when they discover his true nature, he can't help his lustful reaction to Will when the radio host visits The Grotto. He tries to dismiss it, but is compelled to get involved when a cab deposits a battered, broken Will at his door, with Cobalt's name on his lips Can their powerful attraction -- and phenomenal sex -- overcome an abusive closeted cop, a traitorous Fae who tries to divide them, and an ex-lover with inhuman powers who'll stop at nothing to take Cobalt back...including going through Will? Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, violence._

My Rating- 4/ 5

My Thoughts- I liked this book, and can see myself buying more from this author esp if she expands on this fun world she created. I’ve always been a fan of Fae books and this one did not disappoint.

I also like tattoo artists that can totally get into to some M/M love. There’s just something about a strong Alpha male that can take care of his man.

This story had great characters and I loved the world they lived in. Although the violence was a little heavy it fit the book and played in nicely shaping the characters.

This is a book I look forward to rereading.

Book reviewed- Unspoken by Katica Locke

Book Blurb-An impulsive werecat sparks a twisted game of cat and mouse he may not survive.

Huntsmen kill Werefolk--it's what they're trained to do. Kae, a young and impetuous werecat, knows this, but it doesn't stop him from following one surly Huntsman into the bathroom of a nightclub. One spontaneous, not completely unwanted sexual encounter later, he's running for his life, pursued by a Huntsman bent on murder...or is it simply revenge? Or is it something else entirely?

My Rating- 2.5/5

My Thoughts- Very quick read, only about 46 pages. Took about half an hour to read.

If this had been a full-length book that dived into the characters it would have been good. I like the were-cat and didn’t like the Hunter. Even with his sad story. The sex scenes are Hot! Very well done. Although they do push the envelope in consensual sex.

The story line is interesting and this could have carried my interest. Learning the Hunter’s son and how he was changed, what happens when a were and hunter get together, future of the characters all could have been done.
Instead this is a straight erotic book meant to get you hot and nothing else.
